A portion of the profits will be donated to Trans Queer Pueblo. Here is what Trans Queer Pueblo is all about: "We are an autonomous LGBTQ+ migrant community of color who works wherever we find our people, creating cycles of mutual support that cultivate leadership to generate the community power that will liberate our bodies and minds from systems of oppression toward justice for all people. As LGBTQ+ migrant community of color we propose a world where: Our families are respected and integrated into an LGBTQ+ migrant community with the power to define its own path and raise its voice across society. Our community is an integral part of a pueblo which is powerful and self-sufficient, with full rights and wellbeing, and celebrates the diversity of all people, without borders or phobias. We live in fellowship, free from any and all systems of oppression."
This event is organized by SouthWest VegFest. SouthWest VegFest is a local, volunteer run, 501(c)3. Our mission is to raise awareness about how awesome it is to be vegan. Throughout the calendar year, we organize high-interest events to raise funds for local organizations. In November we host the Valley’s BEST vegfest with proceeds going to a national organization. at 27 Tattoo Studio in Phoenix
Sunday, September 9th 12-7pm
for the most amazing fundraiser of the year!
Here's how it's all going down:
Four of the amazing artists from 27 Tattoo Studio will be tattooing from 12-7pm on Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Each artist will create and offer a flash sheet of artwork depicting veganism, animals, and of course elephants (we'll post these on our social media in August)! The sessions will be first come first served. If you want to get a piece done you will put your name on a list under the artist you prefer, and they will note the flash tattoo they want. Once all artists’ appointments are full the sign-up list will be closed.
The price of each piece, ranging from $80-$350, will be donated to The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennesse. Please tip your artist for their time, art, and generosity!
There will be lots of fun going down during the event. Raffle, food, artwork, SWVF merch, temporary tattoos, and more will all be available at The Gallery at Skyline Lofts just a few feet away from 27 Tattoo Studio.
